It felt like a dream. He stood at the edge of the vista, overlooking a realm of trees and flowers, rocks and lava. It was like a view from a painting, or a fantastical imagination that combined the elements into an exotic beauty. If it was a dream, it was one that affected more than his sight, as he heard the songs of the birds, inhaled the scent of the flowers, and heard the fall of water. It was an ethereal, ephemeral atmosphere, one that he had no recollection on how he came to be experiencing. The recent past was a haze, and it felt like he had just opened his eyes to the wondrous scene. The air was cool upon his fur, the breeze that carried the scents and sounds of the land ruffling his hair, blowing it across his vision until he lifted a hand to push it back.
The touch of his hand felt real enough, as did the loose silken robe that he wore, the material dyed shades of pink reminiscent of the cherry blossom trees that filled his vision. The edging was a richer, deeper scarlet, akin to that of the fruit of the trees. The length itself was short, reaching only just above his knees, held closed by a single piece of cloth tied in a loose loop. It felt like it would come undone at any moment.
Was it a dream? Paradise? Some other realm? The thoughts tangled pleasantly in the haze of his mind, and he turned them over and around until he sensed a second presence with him. Had he only just noticed them, or had they always been there, he wondered as he as much felt as heard them walk up behind him.
“Well hello there,” cooed a soft, feminine voice. He turned in time to see a female appear from out of the swirling mist. She smiled at him, her ruby eyes glowing faintly in the fading sunlight. He studied her as she approached, feeling an odd sense of familiarity – he was certain he knew her face, her features, but from where? She was a wolf, tall and delicately built, her fur a shade of light pink that matched the trees. She had long crimson hair that fell in waves around her shoulders, and a pair of butterfly wings that slowly opened and closed as she approached. She wore a black robe made of sheer material, tied at the waist like his own and leaving very little to the imagination.
“I've been waiting for you darling.” She stood next to him now, close enough to inhale her sweet scent, floral and absolutely intoxicating. She laid her hand upon his shoulder and traced her fingers down across his chest slowly. His fur stood on end at her touch, and he felt his heartbeat quicken. Seeming to sense the affect she was having on him, she grinned.
“You can relax love. You're in good hands now, I promise.” She pulled lightly on his belt, causing his robe to fall wide open and drop at his feet, leaving him completely exposed. She looked him over, an expression of unmistakable amusement on her face. He watched as her gaze lowered, leaving no part of his body untouched. She was clearly sizing him up for something.
“Mmm, yes...just as I thought. You'll do nicely.” She held out her hand, offering him to take hold of it. “Come with me. I have something special in mind for you.”
There were plenty of words in his head, but he couldn't seem to form them into anything worth saying out loud. He had so many questions. Who was she? Where were they? How had he come to be in this place with her? There was so much he wanted to ask, but as he looked into her eyes, the words came out only as a soft intake of breath, a shiver. She was mesmerizing, and all he could think to do was take the hand that she offered. It felt delicate within his own, and as his hand closed around hers, she twined their fingers together, her nails lightly pressing against his wrist. She flashed her smile at him again and fluttered her wings as she glanced behind her, and he found himself responding with a smile of his own, and his complete trust. For now, he forgot how the familiarity played with him, tugging at his mind. He allowed her to lead him onward, away from the clearing, leaving his robe crumpled on the ground behind.
She took them down a small path that wound it's way through a thick clump of trees. The foliage here was so dense he could scarcely see through to the other side. The smell of the cherry blossoms was heavy and made him dizzy, but still he followed her.
When they reached the end of this tunnel, they emerged into another clearing, this one much more lavishly decorated. In the middle was a wooden pergola, flanked on all corners by red velvet curtains that billowed in the breeze. The pergola sat atop a platform paved with dark stone tiles, and as they rounded the corner a bit more he could see a large tub of water steaming and bubbling, it's edges adorned with tiny candles. The whole setup was very ornate, and he was starting to realize this encounter was quite planned.
On the side opposite to them was the most breathtaking view he'd ever seen – great black cliffs overhung a bottomless ravine, and streams of molten lava poured out over their edges. A few particularly bold cherry trees had taken root there, almost defying any laws of nature to survive in such a harsh environment. Steam...or was it clouds?...rolled up from below, bringing with them warm air heavy with the scent of rain. The breeze ruffled through his fur, and he delighted in the feel of it against his unclad body, a sensation he didn't often get to experience. Especially not like this.
“You'd better come away from there, you wouldn't want to fall in.” The she-wolf's voice behind him snapped him to attention and he scolded himself inwardly for forgetting about her, even for just a few seconds. He turned just in time to see her disrobe, casually casting her garment aside and turning to face him, effortlessly capturing his full attention. She allowed him a moment to stare, almost inviting it with the way she ran her hands across her curves. She was built to perfection, her form graceful but sturdy, every inch covered in soft, pink fur. He couldn't pretend not to notice her breasts, firm and attentive, the perfect size to fit easily into one of his paws if he dared such a thing. He blushed at the thought of it, which only encouraged her, and she cupped her own hands around them and pulled at the nipples lightly, biting her lip.
“You don't have to be ashamed,” she said, her voice soft and calming. “You like looking at me, don't you?” She giggled, and before he could answer, she was heading for the tub. He watched her climb in, settling beneath the bubbling surface sending columns of steam into the air. He was right behind her, and as he stepped into the warm water he felt the last remnants of anxiety slip away. He was completely in the moment now. He settled into a corner and smiled as she quickly moved closer, placing herself against him and relaxing into his embrace. Whatever this was – a dream, or something else entirely, he was going to enjoy it now to the fullest.
He gazed around the clearing and only then noticed a small bowl filled with cherries sitting just inches away. Had that been there this whole time? Nevermind, he thought...this was an opportunity to please his lovely hostess. He took a cherry from the bowl and offered it to her, and she eagerly accepted.
“Mmmm...another,” she whispered, and he obliged, this time teasing her a bit before letting her take it from his fingers. If this was what she wanted from him, he was all too happy to accommodate her wishes. As he slowly fed her cherries, his mind entertained thoughts that were far less innocent, and he began to wonder what else the evening had in store.
