After being reduced to an innocent nymph, Chrysalis is ironically fostered into the family of Cadance and Shining Armor. She is given the new name of Crystal Path and brought up in the Crystal Kingdom as their newest princess. Surrounded by loving and caring parents and family, Crystal grows up to be a beautiful person, and her outward looks reflect her inner goodness. But eventually Crystal realizes that she cannot stay in the Crystal Kingdom forever if she wants to find her place in the world. She stands at the boundary of the kingdom where the eternal snow still reigns, looking for answers.
