I used to be the perfect picture of a dysfunctional child with Asperger’s/Autism. I’ve gradually grown out of these fits by 8th-9th grade, becoming not just the one of the best-behaved students in the disability wing, but in the whole high school. In 2015-16 I had a lot of problems with my self-esteem and those outbursts came back, though not nearly as bad. All that remains is poor social functioning and a few repetitive and grand gestures that usually come out when I’m frustrated trying to say something that I can’t get the words for, and the good of having Asperger’s now very much outweighs the bad. I’m not afraid of getting a job and going to college this year. <^w^>
