I can generally agree here. Though One thing that someone has to understand is that a new companion is not about replacing what you lost. There's nothing that can replace a close friend such as a pet who passes away. But you can begin a new journey. A new path that can take you through unexpected ways.

Give yourself time to mourn, just know that life is a precious thing. Cherish the memories you have and remember the good moments so you can keep them with you throughout your own life.

Im sorry to hear this Conneich. They grew into an old dog through happy loving care though.

I'm sorry I wasn't to say anything. It is hard to lose someone important in your life, no matter what it is. Even more so when you can see it coming and when you see them like that.

Couple years back I had he same problem, Gilean and Verna were about eight years old. Gilean had a problem, had problems all his life too, at least once a month I had to clip his teeth. Finally one day I came home and he couldn't walk. He had a stroke and his hind legs were paralyzed. There was nothing I could do. I had to have him put down as it was only a matter of time and his suffering would only get worse.

It pains me to say it but I believe it with all my heart. You did the right thing. I wish there was something more to say about this, some serene wisdom, but all there really is to say is that the joy you had with her is not gone, and the time you spent with her was important. Never forget that.as much as you loved her, she loved you.

Suffice to say we all care about you too and I hope you can keep going even in this time and keep being the beautiful heart you are.
