Sprite Series: Stupid Humans (Hanna Barbara-related)
Making fun of the infamous Hanna Barbera Godzilla series in the 70's. Where they paired Godzilla up with a crew of helpless humans whose apparent job was to sail around on a boat and get into various sorts of trouble, (of the Giant Monster kind), which they would then call upon (more like WAKE UP) Godzilla (via a signal device) to come and beat up the monstrous menace of the week.
Godzilla musta had the patience of a saint to continuously put up with their constant crap week in and week out.
Not to mention that whole weirdness surrounding Godzuki, (the mandatory "wacky creature sidekick" that was in EVERY H.B. cartoon at the time) but THAT'S for another day. ;)
