My entry for
notveryathletic's contest for anthro sci fi where you had to take one of your anthro characters and one of his and put them in a sci fi situation or costume. This one is pretty obvious.
Taurus belongs to me and is from my Zodiac comic
Tempest Omega belongs to Notveryathletic

*grins* well..in the original series, you never wanted to wear the red shirt, cause it was almost a certain sign you'd get killed off if you went on an away mission :) Far as the colors go, red is engineering/security, yellow is command, blue is science/medical -- for the 24th Century (next gen) red and yellow are reversed
Well, at least she is in security, engineering, or duty uniform....Unfortunately when it comes to track they usually are the ones who get killed, science/medical is blue. Anyways, here is a good link for star trek uniforms and ranks:

I am a punster. I Pun.
I do note the line under the fur trek logo. from the first Alien movie. Hmmm. mixing Trek with Alien.
what would a trek away team do with the alien ship had They discovered it? interesting to think about...
There is a further co-incedence/irony that I have noticed. The bad guys in the extinctioners universe are the agents of a villain called "Mahn". Your real life last name appears to be "Mann".
hmm. Mainstream comics has Marvel and DC, we have Extinctioners and Zodiac. I like having these two teams.

Zodiac is a Neat, Clean, Well drawn comic. (with 50-odd pages to show) I can say this. if you're not at his level, you are not very far behind. ( now to see more of Taurus's behind, and we'll be all set)
Extinctioners had to go through several different publishers. I hope you don't have to go through that.

Red is for Security in the old series, in TNG, Officers Wear red. Blue is for Sceicnes and Medical, while in TNG Blue is for Engineering. Hope that sounds about right. And yes, they wore skirts back then, TNG had Pants, but the uniforms are not that great because they would always roll up when sitting. So later on the got Jackets instead.
Red uniforms are command, yellow are operations, which is mostly tactical or engineering, and blue are the sciences.
Members of the command division are trained in leadership and have tactical training. Command officers include most all of the admiralty, captains, first officers and helmsman. Picard and Riker are the obvious examples of this.
Officers in the command division are often in charge of other departments however, and in that case wear the color of that department.
For instance, Troi and Crusher are both command officers (otherwise they couldn't take shifts of being in charge of the bridge), yet they wear blue because they specialize in the sciences, Troi in psychology and Crusher in medicine.
Worf and Geordie are also both command officers, which is why they're in red in the first season, but once they get promoted to Chief of Security and Chief Engineer they change to yellow to reflect that they are now in either a tactical or engineering field. Lord i'm such a trekkie nerd. hehe.
