I stood and watched as the red clad Sir William strode into the ring with his blue dressed challenger. I dare confess I bothered not to recall his name, for upon his proud steed and with an air of fire to match his choice in attire, I knew which of these men had commanded such a crowd. The first pass rended the meager blue Knight’s Javelin from his arm, though I admire his tenacity as the Knight of blue rearmed and refused to be beaten without fight and soon returned the favor in kind to Sir William. The third pass was wide, too wide for a strike of either Knight to connect. I felt my heart race at such a game and soon added rose my voice as the roar of the crowd settled.

“TIS NOT JOUSTING TIL ONE MAN’S BACK LIES UPON THE SAND!!” I roared, splitting the quiet that tried to find this air.

The fever of the crowd ensured that silence was banished as my demands stoked the flame of their hunger for sport. It was a taunt that Sir William took his heart as the two combatants squared for another charge. Fire blistered behind that helmet as Sir William sought to make good my claim. Horses trotted at full force to one another and the brave Knight of Blue was knocked from his steed, tumbling and tasting the girt of defeat as Sir William made good on name of this game. Unbroken though perhaps save for his pride, the Knight of Blue collected himself and soon but proudly walked from the games as I too sought new entertainment.

XD I know these guys rehearse this stuff so they don’t get hurt, but after watching them take turns knocking the javelins out of each other’s hands and being ever the instigator I am, I did yell that and I’ll be dog-goned if the blue knight (albeit it very fakely XD But I appreciate the effort!!) threw himself down off of his horse when he was disarmed and rolled over onto his back when he was bested to meet my claim. These people are awesome! They certainly deserve tips or something!
