Whenever I pass around a 'funny animal' sketch book for somebody to draw in, I usually include an illustration of my bobcat 'fursona' - which I'd pasted on the inside front cover - along with my mailing address (in case the artist I give it to decides to take the book home to finish his/her drawing).
So far, I've made three such drawings for three different sketch books - two 'fat furry' sketch books and one regular sketch book (the latter image of which I'd posted the other day). The following image comes from my second 'fat furry' sketch book, with an illustrated comment about the first collection of 'fat furry' art I had amassed. I hope you like it...
BTW, contrary to what this sketch indicates, my first 'fat furry' sketch book (the one with the black cover) is not completely filled up. It is still in the possession of another one of its many contributors - who shall remain nameless, for the moment. Said artist has been holding on to it now for almost a year, and I would like it back ASAP. Please comply...
Meanwhile, my second 'fat furry' sketch book (the one with the green cover, AND this drawing of moi) is available for mailing out and having images drawn on its many blank pages. Just be sure to let me know how long it's going to take you to draw in it and return it to me (or to the next artist in line). For the moment, I might wait until after July (when I attend "Megaplex") before having this second 'fat furry' sketch book distributed nationally (or even internationally)...

When you said you let artists take it back home with them I thought "what if they don't give it back?" When you do get it back, I highly suggest you not let anyone take it home with them. That person may not value it as highly as you do, and just lose it or something. That would be horrible!
Well, Tzologeist, a few years ago, the most negligent artist (also to remain anonymous) tried mailing it back to me, but got the Zip Code wrong. So, instead of being returned to Margate, FL (in Broward County), my 'fat furry' sketch book wound up in Islamorada (down in the Keys), before it was "returned to sender"...
So, between that act of negligence and the on-going delays from the current possessor of my (black-covered) 'fat furry' sketch book, I AM having reservations about all future 'snail-mailed' correspondences. The only reason I have been mailing it out around the world is that I hardly have the time or money to see these anthroartists in person at 'furry conventions'. This may all change this July, when (or if) I am able to attend "Megaplex" in Kissimmee, FL, and i might be able to bring one or more of my old sketchbooks. "Stay tooned...!"
