Andy was one of a small number of centuries appointed by Lady Amber to patrol the forests and protect the creatures of the land. The talisman he wears signifies his role as protector, as well as his rank as being something similar to a "medicine man" of the North American Indians. Andy was given this duty, with conditions, as one of Lady Amber's final orders prior to her death, shortly after Andy had completed his Rite of Passage [deleted scene available on the Forgotten Heritage - Special Edition DVD].

Andy did not actually serve his duty until age 167 (year 2103). He served for approximately 15 years. and was "loaned", as a gift and companion (and guide), the loyal and faithful friend he had lost some seventy-odd years before.

Rabbit's stance is a little wonky, IMHO, but I do like it..
