Japanese 8-2
material(s)
Sterling silver
clasp
Sterling silver lobster clasp
Size
Seven inches long...look at the dime to get an idea
THIS PIECE IS FOR SALE!
I need to work on my lighting and photography more...
This Japanese style bracelet is woven from what is known as micro maille. Micro maille is any kind of chainmaille made with rings 20 gauge wire or thinner with an inner diameter of 1/8" or smaller. For those of you not from the USA that means the rings are no bigger then 4mm and trust me it can get way smaller.
This tiny bit of chain here is actually 22 gauge wire with an inner diameter or 3/32" or 2.3mm.
I have to say this is one of the nicest feeling things I have ever made. It feels so nice on the skin like...metal silk or something. Can you imagine hand weaving 500 rings for something as small as this bracelet?
Please look at the rest of my gallery for more of my work.

No worries.
For the lighting, it definitely needs to be slightly brighter. If possible, set the shutter to stay open longer and I would also suggest a tripod so it's not blurry. Aside from lighting, what part of your photography do you think needs work? I think it's fine as is.

Well I already have built myself a light tent...I really do need brighter bulbs...I am getting a tripod in a couple of weeks...I will give the shutter speed a try...Hmm I guess there is just something missing...it still looks rather poor to me. I need to get myself some display racks or something to give myself a more professional look...Eh I dunno what else.
Looks lovely. That must feel great to wear... and take an awful lot of patience to make.
I think something like this would look plain awesome with that type of clasp they use for multy beaded pearl beads. I don't know what they're called, but they look cool with anything broad =)

You may want to try picking up a magnifier like the kinds that modelers use to help you if your eye sight is bad.
Alas I am sad to say there is no tumbler in my home right now but I am buying myself one next month. However it is plenty shiny...something about the lighting in the photo messed it up...The dime is not even shining as much as it should.
Thank you. I really do not have a set price on this kind of work actually.

Want to know something messed up? I did not use a magifier when I wove this. My eyes hurt like hell afterwords...
Oh I am familiar with how awesome they are, thus far I have had one available to me but I need one in my home. I will have the money to get one of my own next month...hopefully.
