I finally "finished" the back/upperside of Rime's wing pattern, which still needs a lot of tweaking to get just right, because I had to cut a large section out of the wing (that shaded part) to make it fit to a human arm. (My little pair of sewing scissors are there as a size ref, so yes, these wings are LOOONG, and every feather is cut and taped separately.) Now I need to buy more packing foam to make the feather pattern for the underside, then I can simply mirror everything to make the other wing, and can cut these out of the actual craft foam I'll be using. On the final version, I'll be making the primaries a bit wider and more rounded to look more like the bottom pic, as they seem too thin to me now. Also, my hand and arm will be covered by that fur sleeve, and there will be a little hidden opening where I can slip my hand out (I'll have a white glove on) to be able to grab/hold things as needed. :)

The numbers aren't fully sequential, because I had cut out, taped and numbered all the feathers for that shaded section of the wing as well, since I couldn't be sure how much I would need to omit without making the entire wing first, and then overlapping the sections until it all fit to my arm. 0_o
Yep, had to keep all those! :D The secondaries weren't as important, since there were just SO FREAKING MANY of them, and I had no choice but to omit some. But this still needs a lot of tweaking to get everything looking as close as possible to the original wing, just shrunken down. :)
