Since the Emperor at this point does nothing but eat and swing his sword around (his body weight fluctuating more often than the fucking weather), he naturally ordered his armorers to make a set of royal wear that actually fit him. Finally he can walk around not feeling so restricted but they had to leave an opening around his middle for freedom of the user. Its technically a weakness but its aesthetically pleasing to look at if you're into that sort of thing (you degenerate). Nothing like wearing chainmail under the armor wouldn't fix his majesty's open middle problem.
