First off, this map is loaded with Easter Eggs for those who are multi lingual. Second of all, Planet Talahm is ©
ValSalia, based off of this map and uploaded with permission. Been doing some world building for chapter 4 of Enchanted Wolf Vineyards ©
PezWolf.
The bottom left corner compares the sizes of the planet's for Earth (chapter 1), Chimerium (chapter 2), Planet Tal ©
Mick39 (chapter 3), and planet Talahm (chapter 4). Someone weighing 100 lbs on Earth would weigh 150 on Tal and 90 lbs on Talahm.
Places worth mentioning for the future of Planet Talahm, the newborn islands were overtaken by a group of Val Salian businessmen who wanted to protect their plantations on the islands. The native population is still bitter about it to put it mildly.
A dictatorship conquered the United Southern Tribes under one rule after the tribes had splintered into a hundred different states. Renamed the Umski Fatherland, the dictator thought himself the better of the two when they sold a large swath of costal yinglet land to Val Salia in exchange for them building a transcontinental railroad thru their empire.
There is a stop along the railroad at the Yinsesei river. A gulag there helped build a damn to power the area, and Lake Yinsesei was made. The gulag became Yinseski. The Yinsesei river is mostly ice melt from the Indrel mountains. There is a small yinglet town where the river leaves the mountains, called Habzig, named after a matriarch who had claimed she got her great tits from Habzig herself. This is where part of EWV takes place.
Worth noting, due to large demand, the Indrel allowed for a trading post to be built in the midale of their mountain range, at the cross roads for paths through their territory. The trading post exploded population wise into Vyaapaar Taun and this has been profitable to the Indrel, hand over fist.
After Gold was discovered on the largely unexplored plains of the South, a large Gold rush occurred which lead to exploration and settlement of the South on a grand scale. While Gold is nowhere to be found these days, Gold town itself became a large shipping hub between the central part of the main continent (seen on map) and the southern half (not depicted).
Final note: Beletam was a major powerhouse back in the day. Not only in military might, but economically as well. As such, their culture was spread to the far reaches of central Talahm. As such, while every culture has their own name for the star the planet orbits, Belet is the most widely accepted name for the star, named after the Goddess Beleta, the sm Queen of the gods and goddesses, and the Sun goddess of knowledge.

Thanks. I was working on my story, then had to stop and draw a map of the town, then had to stop and draw a map of the world. Kinda got compelled to do so. Before I can post the map of the town though, I have to learn how to use Google Sketchup. Always good to learn new things.
Close. This IS Val Salia's world, but instead of during the dark ages, occurs in the year 2020, which is probably going to be when I finally get around to drawing this chapter of my story TT_TT
Ah well, I should have the Val Salia chapter finished writing down by next month XD
