yes it is as heavy as an original one. it weights 68 kg and yes i can stand up when i fall ^^
it is a common misapprehension that knights could not stand up. the problem just is, that you need a few seconds more to stand up with this gear and in a real battle, noone will miss the chance to stab a blade in your throat of course :P
thats why you always hear "when a knight fell down, he could not stand up" because noone lets you to ^^
