Ya notice how in the game, Fox is told to leave his blaster, his one means of self defense, because the missions about "saving the planet, not blowing it up."
And then in Star Fox Assault, no one mentions nor complains nor even so much as lamp shades you going on Sauria with tanks, Arwings, heavy machine guns, grenades, etc.
The REAL REASON for this of course, is that Star Fox Dinosaur Planet wasn't a Star Fox game, it got reskinned as one, so they needed to come up with some excuse for why Fox wouldn't logically bring his weapon with him and go onto a planet full of hostile natives with no means of self defense, and apparently one hand blaster can "blow up the planet."
Krystal meanwhile... dresses like a native, speaks like a native (and in fact given that it needs to be translated it implies its her native tongue), clearly has close friends among he locals, rides on a pterodactyl... and the dialogue her voice actor reads is meant to hammer home that she only came to this planet RECENTLY! And the fact she's supposedly a princess from a blown up planet is never once discussed in game, and Krystal shows all the angst of a rock of having her entire civilization destroyed.
