This was a birthday gift to my friend 
morghus from 
serpentus and I.
I looooove drawing Morghus, I have very little experience drawing snakes, and Rah gets uglier every time I draw it. Maybe ugly is just part of the character. ahaha.
I sketched this in sketcher in Artspots. I was squeezing it in around other people's drawings, hence the really awkward composition. I have no excuses! I colored it later in photoshop. Someday I will hopefully learn how to draw three very dark, shiny characters and have it still look well-lit without it looking either underexposed or washed out. If you have any tips, please tell me. XD

I love how the plate scales on Morghus lift up as his neck tilts back... that is just such an awesome little detail to me. xD And that is such a shiny snake! The wrinkles on its body really add to the realism of the picture. The longer I look at the picture, the more things I pick out that I love about it.
ooo very cool i like the way the snake is holding on to the red dragon with its snaky scaly body. it makes it looks like its really holding on to him and the shine makes it stand out more, i also like the way you drawn the wing all tucked up under himself on morghus. over all i love this pick ^^ very cute, really good job, hmmm drawing the shine on dark characters can be hard sometimes.
when i draw i start on where the light is going to hit on the characters, or just by looking at any dark object and have the sunlight shine on it, dont know if this will help, but i have some good tutorials on how lighting is done for photoshop.

Awsome once again Rah !!!! Loved it <3 You said you want to make then appear more in the pic right? Well what i do ( as Thorphax is as dark as yours ) is to make a diferent color light source, for example: as Thor is crimson red colored, i usually use a light source as orange, yellow, dark orange, couse then it will call the attention of the viewer to the character itself, in your pic my attention is called to Morghus, couse he is very well light sourced if you know what i mean x3, but it doesn`t mean that Rah is not appearing too, i can see some light sources on her, perhaps if you put a light source, as the sun for example, in the top left of the pic she would appear more on it. It is just an idea that works with me, but i must say: the pic is AWSOME the way it is!! <3 And if i could draw as well as you, i wouldn`t mind those little problems :D
