Friends and I have recently tweaked our Ark server and moved hosts, which seems to be working out quite well so far. Was waiting to see if any issues needed to iron out but been working fine so letting people know have a server open to play on. Is PvE so no worries about being raided or messed with from other players. Wild dinos spawn between levels 1-500. Main dino mod is Extinction Core and on the map Thieves Island. Will give full list of mods on the server. Love this game and like sharing the experience with others. So if ever interested come check out the server and say hi. Myself or my other admin friends are usually on and we try keeping the server as up to date as can. We also have a Discord channel for the server on invite.

Playing Ark on Tiera's old server was one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had in months, even as a rookie survivor. Good people tend to play there who are very newb friendly. Singleplayer is a decent place to learn the ropes, but you'll have a lot more fun on the right multiplayer server.

That's really reassuring. I remember when my girlfriend Emmy requested to join someone's ARK server during the Scorched Earth release, she was told she could only build a relatively small base, and only in certain areas not populated by certain tribesmates. And...after she did build her place (and had quite a bit of time and effort poured into it), she was basically told she had to move it elsewhere or remove it completely because of some issue with location or whatnot with another tribesmate who actually built a larger base nearby without making themselves known or...I dunno, some kind of crazy.
By the sound of it, though, there should be enough room for everyone to have their own comfy little places, which is a relief.
