A lot of these rifles used to be American M1 Garands, but the Italians rebuilt them into this rifle. With good results.
Nothing was left unanswered or ignored in the design either, for example, the button that pops a loaded clip out? That's been re-purposed to drop the bolt now.
I had always wanted a more unique 7.62x51 rifle than a M14 or a FN FAL and a long time ago I got my wish, i've only ever seen one of this rifle's kind. = )
I'll list the things imprinted on the rifle.
1. "Licensed by P. Beretta Gardone, Italy"
2. Santa Fe M-59 Cal 7.62mm NATO
3. Golden State Arms Corp. Pasadena Calif.
