"I'll stay too." Torrent said, "I'll help make sure no one is taken away, and besides, Ash should have someone to watch her back."
Ash looked over at her and smiled, "Thanks Torrent."
"Your court summons when they find out." Copleand said, and she looked to Analie "We're staying here."
Analie nodded then held out her phone "I'll track the people working here with the internet," it said for her "But without actual clothes we draw too much attention. I need to leave with Copleand, we both have a bad reputation."
"Finally, someone's talking some sense." Copleand smiled "Good luck you two." She watched them get out "You'll both needed." Then she sat up and closed the doors, then the ambulance drove off on it's own.
The two looked around seeing the police still looking over the mess with a hazmat team, while the paramedics were fighting the kids to check on them for injuries.
"Largue-me!" one of them shouted over and over "Largue-me!" it kept kicking the lion trying to hold him down.
Torrent walked over and took a better look at what was happening, and how hard it was for the man to apply the bandages. "It's alright." She knelt down and put a hand on the wolf/horse's shoulder "He won't hurt you."
He stopped and looked at her then the lion again, and it's hears raised just slightly. he looked at her again "Ele está amarrando minhas pernas para não poder me mover."
"He's not gonna hurt you," Torrent said shaking her head "He's trying to mend your legs."
The lion tried again, and this time the hybrid pup just walked him and held Torrent's arm. The man was even smiling as he finished, and then he looked up to see the tigress that was off to the hospital. "How are you still here?" he asked "Weren't you suppose to be sent to get checked on?"
"I'm okay," Torrent said "Besides, it seemed you needed more help than me."
The lion just laughed at the statement "Funny, but you really should be off." Then he looked over at some of the other crying and fussy children from the building "After maybe a bit of help..."
And the two cracked up over it then walked to some other people.
Ash was helping another child lie down for splint, and then she lifted the mare into the back of an ambulance. Something that puzzled her though was that there was no sign of that anteater, the one the the tentacles. She looked around and then saw him being dragged by a police officer to a patrol car. She ran over as he shoved the child into the back seat.
"Hey!" Ash shouted and stopped in front of him "Where are you taking him?"
"Police station," The officer said glaring back "Got to get him sent home."
"No, all the kids are suppose to be off to the hospitals first," Ash said "That's what everyone's been saying, and everyone's been preparing. Now what are you doing?"
The officer glared at her for a second, "Get in the car." he said, but she didn't move. Then he started to pull out his gun, "I said ge-"
Ash quickly grabbed his arm with the gun, it fired and missed, scathing the hood of the car. Ash pulled his arm, swinging him passed her and breaking his hold on the gun. She then grabbed him from behind and spread her wings. "Don't you dare take them away..." In a beat of them, she pulled him high in the air "NEVER on my watch!" And she kicked him down to the dirt.
Other officers ran over at the gun shot, and when she landed, and held her wings, they hand guns trained on them.
"Arrest her!" the police dog shouted "She attacked me!"
"He's kidnapping a child from the scene!" Ash shouted, pointing into the back window of the car.
Then four news vans drove up, surrounding the scene.
"That's ridiculous!" he growled, as two of other cops ran over to look in, "She's the criminal here!"
"Then why's there one of the mutants in the back?" one of the cops asked "Who told you to take him away?"
"I was told by Chief Bradly?" he said
"You mean me?" A large bull huffed and pulled out his badge "Get up, Gregory, you're coming with me." He pulled the dog up by his shoulder, and hauled him off.
Half the press followed the police chief, but the other half stayed behind, trying to get close to Ash and ask her questions.
She'd back up, and soon the other cops were pushing back the paparazzi. However, backing up the kids from the building were running to her hugging her and cheering for her, as well as the anteater.
"Miss." one of the paramedics trudged through the crowds of kids "It's time to head to the hospital."
Ash helped Torrent lead the children into the ambulances as the news fought for any hint at a story, and soon they were all gone from the scene for good.
