And, after a long cruise, the ferry going from Portugal to Iceland with our pack of friends on board finally came into its destined port on afternoon. They were nearly at home, and were very happy to feel the land again under their feetpaws :D
But the port town they arrived into, is situated in completely different part of Iceland than Skottavík - and to get home, they have to drive along nearly entire southern coast of the island, which will take several additional hours. (They would get way faster from Portugal to Skottavík by plane, but Sigrún, although working at an airport, is afraid of flights! :D)
This is a long car trip. Especially for such little one like the younger Sigrún. :)
After entire 2 months of building sand castles, splashing in the sea and doing a lot of other funny but energy-absorbing activities, and then - this long cruise, our little vixen kept on becoming more and more tired and sleepy.
And finally, after about an hour of travel, when the sun slowly began to set, she fell asleep. And she still sleeps now, so deeply that probably completely unaware abou her favorite fox plushie falling out of her paw :) Sitting in her comfy toddler car seat and being warmed up by the last sunbeams, she will surely be able to sleep until the end of the trip - or maybe even longer :D
Looks like the only thing little Sigrún will can do after arriving home, is going right into her bed and continuing her long, well deserved sleep. Maybe after a quick change, as it seems like such one may be needed ;3
But we''ll worry about it after arriving home. As for now - there's still a lot of kilometers to drive. Sweet dreams, Sigrún! :)
