Was commissioned to draw a monster girl a few months ago and they were nice enough to let me pick which one I wanted, so I looked through the Monster Girl Encyclopedia "catalog" and the Kraken really stood out to me
It also helps that its something fresh, to set it apart from all the catgirls and stuff

I love monster girls so Id definitely draw a lot more of these if I wasnt so busy with ffxiv commissions, but for now it pretty much only happens if someone decides to commission one
