Unlikely, especially given the nature of Immy and his comics. Plus, we have already seen this "guardian" or it's hand a few compic pages ago.

Yet to be sure but if I have to guess... given the hand we saw, it looks sort of like one of the lizard things from the cave network

The question is, is that a hand from one of the raptors and/or their descendants/the insectile aliens, or was it merely a tree's branch being blown by the wind. The light of the next day did reveal that was a tree there, after all.

It would of had to be particularity windy to cause a tree to move that much. Something Immy did not illustrate. Couple that with the over all size and shape, my suspitions lead me to the conclusion it might be one of the lizards but, it could alo be a new race as well. For now, I guess well will have to wait to find out.
