There is a lot to like here. There are essences of Degas' composition, hints of Cezanne's fruit and even little bits of Calliebotte and Cassat, none of which I am sure was in your head, but I can see through my own filters. :"D I think what I like best is that you manage to get across the texture of fur while simultaneously utterly ignoring the way fur actually works.
nope, it was part of a pair of images handed out to students when i was taking my anatomy class.
our teacher instructed us to make a picture from reference, and he handed out this image along with
one of a woman in a similar situation, because sometimes it's hard to find people to pose for you
and this way everybody would have at least some reference.
i ended up not needing it and using something/someone else, but i kept the images because i liked them.
the original images were photocopies from a book on figure drawing with pastels, i don't know anything more
about them than that, sorry.

Did you use hardboard/masonite for this one? Photo references can trip artists (like me) up but you've nailed it.
The way you are able to show the subtleties of the anatomy through the fur texture is amazing. I like the collage around the hand especially. It seems very refined.
Thanks for sharing your process.
