Hey guys, skipped a week to relax and get ready for a local con in
town. Let's get to it!
Southern Draw Quick Draw Habano:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Dark Habano
Binder: Cuban seed Nicaraguan
Filler: Cuban seed Nicaraguan
Pre-Light/Construction:
This little guy was very short in stature, but was packing a giant punch from the scent. O=Alot of pepper and cedar notes were vibrant. Lightly oily and a bit rough to the touch. Seems were very visible and the veins only made the inner strength of this more relevant. The pre-draw was loose, so I was in for a future quick smoke.
The Burn Part 1:
The draw was loose and alot of smoke was present. The notes of black pepper and sweet cedar were the first 2 to make an appearance. Was very precise and clean. a bit to nipping on my pallet from the pepper. The retro hale was a reflection of the sweet cedar note. IT gave off a little more low toned sweet flavor than the puff. So far a bit of a sweet and spicy start. The body was medium at this point.
The Burn Part 2:
The body started to build up a bit and the pepper grew a little stronger. A 3rd contender came to play. A low toned sweet cocoa note. Almost like a semi sweet chocolate. It gave the intnse notes a little more of a balance for the most part. Since I was near the point of leaving for my trip in a couple of hours and no drinks were being offered at the hour, I frank water to wash it down a bit. With the body still picking up a little bit,it was safe to say it was getting to the full body aspect.
The Burn Final:
As the final puffs were coming, it was getting close to the point of getting packed up for my trip with pop, and was watching some impractical Jokers with a friend. The notes of pepper started to dwindle back a bit. The sweet cedar and cocoa were remaining at the same place. With the final few puffs, I put this little puppy in the ashtray with a "Wow, what a kick in the pallet."
Verdict:
For a quick smoke, this little guy packs a bit of a hard punch. On the go, a quick smoke if you are bbqing out back, or probably if you like to go fishing, this is the stick for you. great for the price, and a great addition for the Southern Draw line. Get about a few. :D
