BWAH! Hey everyone!! I've been gone for so long, I'm sorry!
What's happening is I'm taking one more class than normal this quarter, and it's killing me. I'm having a ton of trouble just keeping my head above water at school, so drawing comics hasn't even been feasible. I am doing some fun stuff in my classes, though, such as catching (and then tagging and releasing) rabbits, mice, and squirrels! Have you ever caught a squirrel? They're incredibly feisty! I don't know how Jared deals with Wanda all the time!
Also I am now certified by the IACUC to ethically handle animals so you can rest assured that those squirrels are SAFE IN MY HANDS.
Here's a picture of a rabbit we caught. The rabbits in this marshland we're working in are all descended from domestic ones people have set loose (bad!), but what's cool is that in turning feral they've all reverted to the same color scheme, which just so happens to blend in PERFECTLY with the surrounding marsh. They're doing their best to ruin restoration efforts by eating up all the baby plants we're trying to establish... but they're still very cute. There are some coyotes moving into the area (my friends saw one just this morning!), so maybe those will act as a natural biological control.
In addition to rabbits, we keep catching the same mouse, who has decided that the benefits of free food and housing for the night outweigh the subsequent probing by humans.
I don't think I'll be able to make many comics until this quarter is over (mid-June)! It's too bad, but this is how school life goes. I'm definitely never taking this many classes again, though.
To keep yourselves occupied, why don't you take a look at:
1) The Which Awkward Paws Character Are You quiz!
2) This incredibly dumb Faustus chatbot! Guaranteed to not have an answer to 99% of the things you say to it!

Thanks, Aero!! I can definitely make it through... I just need to work as hard as I can to keep up!
The rabbits DO have very dangerous back feet - that's why we clasp them with our hands like that! It's easy to keep them in check if you've got a firm grip on their hind legs. Squirrels are MUCH harder to hold, and they'll try to bite you like crazy!

Seeing that you made a quiz made me flip out cause i love those things
Got Faustus <33<3
"You tend to blame your failures on the rest of society"
sh-shut up!!
you'd think with that, I'd be able to chat with him better. He keeps asking my about eating dry cocoa mix. I'm feeling threatened

THE SQUIRREL WAS SO VIOLENT. When you catch animals you get them out of the cage by tipping them into a bag, right, and the squirrel was just NOT HAVING IT and the bag was jerking around like it was possessed!! And then it shot off like a bullet when we released it, never to be seen again.
My sincerest apologies for my dumb chatbot tbh he's a moron

Nobody got bit thankfully!! But we did get peed on.
I think you could scruff a squirrel if you had a really firm grip, but I wouldn't want to try it! You just really have to immobilize their heads, because that's where the danger is. They can't do much to you with their little feet, unlike rabbits, which can completely slash up your arms.
