Oh Anthony this is absolutely beautiful! It almost looks like something out of an illustrated Tolkien novel. Would you ever colour it?

Nice piece ! This black and white bring me to ask some questions if I can.
How many brushes do you use ?
Do you always work on grey tones before getting to colours ?

I keep the brushes to a very select few, under 10. And if I know that the image will be colored I ether start in color right away or I do very little basic work in black and white. I don't like images that were colored after grayscale, if the artist is lazy the method shows in the really ugly colors. Even some famous professionals do that, and I can instantly tell where they simply didn't bother to fix the color.

But your BW is so strongly close on brushes and luminosity that I would've asked a technique. ^^

Outstanding work !
The composition is harmonious and powerful.
The back-lighting is perfectly mastered.
One could stay for hours trying to guess what's happening here...

PS : This digital drawing almost reminds me some mythological sceneries drawn during the XIX^th century.
It looks like a mix between modern heroic fantasy and old Germanic or Nordic mythology. It's just beautiful !
