Oh my godddd this movie/book holds a special place in my heart, and it's hard to share it with anyone because the movie hasn't really aged well and I feel like no one that didn't already watch it when they were little like I did would understand or get as much emotional meaning from it
I KNOWWWW. It is so beautiful. I still love the art and everything about it but, yeah, I can see how people that weren't exposed to it early on would be like "lolwat" but THEY DON'T MATTER. I loved the movie and the book both as well just alhlkdsjgfg. I love unicorns so much, but as far as I know The Last Unicorn and a book I have called Unicornis are the only things depicting unicorns as not a horse with a small horn on its head.

Haha that bothers me too, though. Medieval tapestries and heraldic depictions of unicorns don't look like horses, and a lot of the earlier descriptions weren't like that either. I like them a lot more as their own creatures, more like wild-looking, deer-goat-donkey things, and The Last Unicorn's visuals of them are really nice too.
