There are four things that I really miss from this photo.
My blades, my balaclava, my gloves, and my WileyX's.
Photo was taken during my Afghanistan deployment in early to late 2008.

Not entirely sure about that one, you'd need to ask someone in the army.
This guy here be in the Navy.
Oh yessir, you get sent to the desert regardless of who you work for. If they need bodies, they will find you.
Navy standards are:
50 situps in 2 minutes.
50 pushups in 2 minutes.
1.5 miles in 12:30 or less.

Actually, the SSG I worked with in Afghanistan said that our requirements were a bit more strict than their own. They have two miles to run a given time, whereas we have 1.5.
According to the Military About.com page, for an individual my age (24), I'd have to do...
40 pushups in 2 minutes (60 points).
50 situps in 2 minutes (60 points).
2 miles in 16:36
The Navy requirement says that you've gotta run an 8-minute mile, so if we had to do 2 miles, that'd give us 16:00 flat. The Army affords you just a smidge more.
So it's not a huge margin, but the Navy does squeak by with a bit more hardcore bragging rights.
Though honestly, the only real branch worth a damn (not considering special forces) are the Marines.
...Which are a sub-branch of the Navy.
