PCP is a dissociative drug that shows us true human nature. Although he enjoys parties, he's mostly there for the euphoric feeling, not the social interaction. He likes to separate you from your feelings, from your body, isolating you to just that, you. By cutting away all of the biology and sociology it strips you down to your most basic impulses, your most human desires. It is noted that, while under the effects of Phencyclidine, many become aggressive and violent. Other side effects are feelings of strength, power, invulnerability and a desire to commit suicide. The human condition in a snapshot.
PCP is the kind of friend who is there for you when things are great, and loves to chat and have fun... but when you need someone to help you through a tough time, he's gone. You can't blame him though, humanity is a sickening sight when laid bare, sans the bells and whistles that make it "so beautiful". Use of Phencyclidine has decreased in recent years, and while many would attribute that to the synthesis of cheaper, better recreational drugs, the real reason is fear. People hold fear for what they do not know, but even greater fear for what they do know, yet cannot admit. PCP is the key to the locked doors people desperately keep shut.
