Very little is known about the circumstances that eventually lead to the doom of this city. They say, something angered the massive black beast known by the name of Tarkustralszar. Made him consider this extreme form of judgement to be fair and just and only appropriate for the transgressions of the inhabitants.
Rumors tell of a lord that tried to deceive the dragon by trying to trick him over the annual tribute, a chest of certain dimensions filled with riches. They say the lord ordered his local craftsman to build the chest with thicker walls, leaving less space for treasure on the inside. Thinking a dragon of Tarkustralszars proportions could not tell the difference.
Wrong was the lord and had to pay a much higher price for his foolishness, than just a chest filled with gold.
Disclaimer: For the faint of heart. Consider this city thoroughly evacuated before the attack. After all you can't see any people around, can you? :)

Maybe that's the story behind this wonderful depiction of draconic destruction~
Maybe he just did not like seeing the brown roof shingles on his daily flight and thought that red would look much better.
In any case! This wonderful amazing super duper awesome piece was a collaboration between halybs and indui
two wonderful artists I'm a big fan of individually. Now them combining their unique skills to create something like this is like a dream come true! I totally love how this picture turned out and really really enjoyed working with both of them on it. Seeing it take shape and eventually color. I love everything about this piece! The style my dragon is drawn in, the colors, the composition, the mood. It's just such a powerful image and I'm super proud of owning it.

While some may not agree to the fullest extent that could be possibly obtained through thought and reasoning, you make a phenomenal point there. So here is something, which I have come to acquire through some pondering, that may add to this conversation indeed. I insist that you maintain progress for your acts of carnage and extermination of the uninvolved, and possibly even virtuous public.
*Falls to my knees and and grovel in a feeble gesture of forgiveness*
O'Great Tarkustralzar! Please forgive our erroneous ways. We foolish mortals know not of the great and terrible power in which you so rightly possess. Though the perpetrators of our kind shall be rightly cleansed from this earth, I beseech thee spare us lowly severvents so that we may properly atone for our own sins and sevrve you properly as we should have done. Whatever you wish, we shall not cease nor stray away until you are whole-heartedly satisfied and content with our offerings. This, I besiege to thee thy mighty Lord and Master from your meagre yet loyal servant.
Truly an epic piece piece of art! Halybs and Indui have done a miraculous job of portraying the mighty Drake in all his terrible glory, both in line and in colour. Always worth a fave on both their parts!

Life got so busy. Back then you had a whole week reserved for destroying a city and really took your time to make it a form of art.
Today they only give you two measly hours and follow it up by three more appointments, including an evening Q&A and a midnight raid.
No wonder so many dragons suffer from burnouts.

Maybe it's just a miniature city Tarkus was working on, like glueing everything together and painting every last bit, just so he can convince people he is much bigger than he really is. Maybe that's the case with all the picture? Maybe Tarkus is a tiny dragon after all, but nobody wants to check in, out of fear, promoted by Tarkus skilled and well crafted PR department o..o
you are welcome
unfortunately however I have suddenly forgotten how to spell my name, or write.... and let's throw reading in there as well.
I can not make fun of something that has done so on its own good dragon sir, this is entirely your own doing for becoming so soft hearted. all these people are suffering for this sudden need for niceness compensation.
