Yeah I totally BS'd the title. :P
This was a sketch I've had for...mmm...EVER now that I got inspired to ink and paint tonight. :) No, I didn't use out-of-the-tube gray paint...I use watercolour cakes, thanks. ;) The grey was made with a blend of dark reds and greens. I used some marker for the forelimbs, and some very limited use of coloured pencil on the hind legs and tail and stuff, plus the beak is mostly coloured pencil...but this is mostly coloured via paint. :)
This also made me declare outright WAR on my scanner. >:{ The first time it scanned...she was WHITE. ALL WHITE. Well, except her beak. ALL WHITE. All my paint and stuff, NONE OF IT SHOWED UP except maybe her off hind leg. :P Oh my stars and garters I was PISSED OFF. I started dicking around with the scanner settings...and this is the best I could get it to scan. :( It will look SO much better in your hands, Swandog, I promise.

O_O OMG!! This is utterly gorgeous, hon!!! You are so sweet (and sneaky) to do this for me out of the blue!! :D Thank you SO very much; it's really beautiful...I love the way you drew the tail, ears and position of the wings, and the shading is wonderful. (Don't worry about the paleness of the grey tones, because my grey is actually very pale, a silvery-platinum color which fades to white at the edges of the long fur fringes. It always comes out darker than I intend it to when I try to color it myself.) *squees and glompclingnuzzleslurps her favorite mule* <3<3<3
