Actually, I haven't. It was more of a visually inspired piece than a particular concept. I wanted to have a central figure with motion, hence the crow in flight. Then, he needed a reason to be in motion, so the watch came into play. Then, I had seen some steam-punk style images and objects recently, so the background and coloring were selected. I also pushed myself to use nothing but warm colors, and no black! It's always tempting to use black, but you would be surprised what you can accomplish without it. Thanks for asking!

Neat. It just really reminds me of an illustration for a story or cover or something, so that's why I was wondering if there had been some other media or idea that inspired it. (Being a writer, I love art that kind of tugs at me and teases with a possible story, and this one definitely does that.)

That's interesting about the black. I hadn't noticed that on first glance, because the color palette looks so natural, even down to the crow's coloring. >^_^<
