This is a pic done by the wonderful
zenirix! Seriously, her work is awesome and you should go take a look at it. This is an older pic of hers, but she has a very unique style all her own! On to this pic, I really like the colors in this pic, especially the indigo and purple on Noctua herself. Honestly indigo is just about my second favorite color (my favorite color is a nice deep green), and put next to black it just seems to leap out and glow (just like the Noctua herself!). Also note that the seat she's sitting on is also composed of her, hence the same colors and markings! When you're a parasitic ooze-like creature, splitting parts off can be quite handy!
I do not know what this light is. Not much moves in this strange, desolate land. But every night, I can see splashes of light here and there. When I went to one of these pools, I found the strangest of things. The liquid itself glows with a strange, blue light. It doesn't react to a rock being tossed in it, so I decided to take a dip into it. I'm not an idiot, so most of my mass will stay ashore just in case. Stepping into it, I found that it was much denser than water. The pool wasn't terribly deep, as the fluid ended up at shoulder height upon touching bottom. The pool was a touch deeper on one end, but not by much. The liquid didn't react to my presence at all (to be fair, my body doesn't react to most things, thank goodness), but I did discover something interesting upon climbing out: When I pulled myself out of the fluid, the liquid seemed to cling to itself, leaving me dry back ashore. How very odd. I was able to collect some in a small bowl I formed, and the fluid seemed to pull itself into a bead, almost seeming to roll about as I tilted the bowl rather than flow like water. It reminds me of mercury.
I shall stay here and study this strange, glowing liquid more. With nothing around to bother or distract me, I'm very curious to see what further testing reveals....
