The progression of the relationship between Josef Petrovich Atlasov (the kodiak bear on the left) and Dreysanius Acrutar (the polar bear on the right) has gone through three stages:
Stage one:
On the left, the heartless, callous, cruel, brutal, hateful, insulting old coach who wouldn't know mercy if it bit him in the ass.
On the right, the pencilnecked, whining, wimpy, wet-behind-the-ears cub who wouldn't know effort if it bit him in the ass.
Stage two:
On the left, the snarling, grumpy, suspicious old coot who HAD to be the one the girlfriend called Daddy.
On the right, the lecherous, immoral, irresponsible brat who HAD to be the one who dated Daddy's Little Girl.
Stage three:
Inlaws. Enough said.

Actually, these character weren't all that old when they lost the ability to walk (Josef when he was 4, Dreysanius at 18). I thought it would be interesting to have a couple characters who were disabled musclefurs.
I was going to show you my favorite picture of Dreysanius, but I seem to have forgotten to upload it. That's gonna be my next submission.

Some might believe so. But when Josef Alreya took Drey under his wing, he figured the best way to snap Dreysanius out of his depression over being crippled (and thus having his wrestling career ended at the age of 18) was to do what Josef's father did when Josef was crippled in early childhood: turn him into the kind of guy that could take the Big Bad Wolf's lunch money.
Despite all the snarling and snapping between them, Dreysanius and Josef actually like each other quite a bit.
