Usually if things don't work the first they never will. Don't chase after him bud as above, you don't need to lower yourself. There are certainly more catches.
And there is no one to blame not you or him, it's just being truthful that you went compatible in some form. I'm sorry for the separation though it's never easy.

I'm truly sorry for your lost of your lover. Sometimes... Not all things can turn out good in the end, but they'll always be others out there who will support you how ever they can to aid your pain, like me. Just keep your chin up high as much as you can because you're not the only one who's been through times like this, and we will give the love and respect you so rightfully deserve. ;)
