Emperor Drum, brutal ruler of the gryphon empire. This is a very old character of mine, and the sketch is more than six months old. I gave up because my ink/colour skills weren't up to snuff with what I had in my head, but I picked it back up and I think it looks ok!

Not intrinsically, but gryphons were enslaved by unicorns to be raised as weapons of war. Drum was a soldier, rebelled against the unicorns, and became a brutal dictator when he gained control, as he was consumed utterly with a desire for revenge. Hence the army-themed outfit
