This poor badge has gone through hell and back from the initial commission to my finally getting it at FWA. It's been nearly thrown away, badge-napped, and redone. But  Mangopoptart was a sweetheart the entire way through, and this badge was very important to me so we pushed onwards.

(Really it's the perfect example of perseverance haha)

I commisioned this badge at FWA last year, a little bit after I really got into Undertale. I fell deeply in love with the story and characters, and it helped me shape myself as a person. I was in college at the time, and the game helped motivate me into making art, writing, and picking up hobbies I'd fallen behind in. Waterfall was my favorite area, and of course loving puns- how could I not love Sans? So this was my inspiration.

As you can see, I've included both the original badge before it was lost (left) and the one I now physically own (on the right). Both are beautiful and wonderful and I feel not including them both would diminish all the work Mango went through making this piece in copic markers not once - but twice! I'm really happy I at least have an image of the first - traditional work will never be exactly alike, and now I can cherish the digital one I have while the physical one sits as the trophy badge in my collection.
