Born in Japan and raised from a very young age in the E.U. by Europian parents. He volunteered to join the W-0 Squadron to avenge the death of his birth parents at the hands of the Britannians in their invasion of the former Japanese mainland.

Despite the goal of the W-0 unit, to "Die in place of EU Citizens," This was never Jun's reason for joining, and he felt contempt towards the E.U. soldiers who they fought to protect, and never intended to die for them. Indeed it was a thankless job, as the E.U. soldiers would treat Jun and his comrades like inferiors even after they'd risked their lives to defend them.

He cared deeply for his fellow Japanese in the W-0 unit, and even had a deep respect for the more competent of the Britannian units. Asakura had his own reasons for joining W-0, and he fought his own war against Britannia, a continuation of the war in Japan, as he saw it.

He pilots an Alexander Knightmare frame, and was actively participating in the W-0 unit's battles from the very beginning of the unit's existence, and up until the battle at Narva where he was either killed or deserted.
