This is a shot of the crabs spawning in the shallows. The bigger ones are female while the smaller ones are male

Thats sooo cool! I always wanted to see a horseshoe crab in the wild. I guess I need to have access to the ocean tho first. XD Really nice photo. ^^

They're pretty cool animals! If you can ever get to an aquarium or the Atlantic Ocean, you can probably see one.

They didn't really swim, they just sort of walked along the ground. Blue crabs swim, though and they look pretty interesting when they do!

Nice pictures. I have probably seen them at a aquarium once or twice, but never in the wild.

All the beauty of nature aside though, I would also likely get kinda freaked out if I'd discover them too close to my feet! ^_^'

HAHA!! Honestly, they move so slowly, like turtles, that you would notice it. ...hmm...actually, now that you mention it, if one crawled over my foot without me knowing...I think I would look as though I suddenly learned how to fly!

Seeing these remind me of the time I was in Biloxi Mississippi on the docks, and saw my first flounder up close and personal in the water. It was scary to say the least. ._.
