Just because I had to draw something cute. And lookatit! It's a hand o_o.
Critique is encouraged! Because you know - how would I otherwise escape this dreadful practice of art? *wink*

It's a little scratchy but pretty stylish. I like it! I think her left arm is a bit disproportionate, though... the forearm should be longer than the top of the arm, rather than vice versa. Also, the arm in general looks a bit long.
Also, I wish there were more visible diapers in your artwork, but that's more a personal preference than legitimate criticism.

Thanks for the constructive critique. I think I was trying to portray how the arm was bent with the pose. Do you think shading or just a plain redraw of the whole hand would have done the trick? Also, about the scratchy feeling - does that weigh more on the "stylish" side or the negative side? A last question - would you consider my newest drawing (Summer '09) more or less scratchy than this?
About the other request - there might be more diapers in my art in the future. I know a lot of my watcher think that is cute and strenghtens the art - and I think it's a nice addition too. But I just haven't found the right theme for it yet. I'll work more with it. Thanks for the very constructive comments!

It is very cute! I wonder what she's going to do with the snail - pet it, pick it up for a bug collection...?
And it's a decent hand too! Let's see more! I know that, when I draw, I always have to push myself to actually draw hands/paws, rather than leave them as just blocks.

I'm guessing curiosity will get the better of her ^^. They're rather icky so I don't know if she'll be indulged to carry it more than its house.
About the hands I'm really the same way. I often chicken out on drawing hands because I find the whole process so tiresome. I haven't developed a proper technique for them yet (contrary to muzzle and body drawing). I'll need to push myself just like you do and maybe soon I'll develop in that area as well. Thanks for the great comment =)

Thanks =D. I am really satisfied with the hand - then I chickened out on the second one (again). I'll try to be more consistent with that in the future - it's a challenge for me but I have to do it.
About the sketchy feeling - does that take away from the drawing or is it for the better? Also, is this more or less sketchy than the last drawing I made (Summer '09), youthink? Reason I am asking is because I used two different methods during sketching. I hope that I can get an answer om which one works best.
As usual, thanks for the nice, well thought through comments. It means a lot after you've worked with an image this long - especially when you feel that you are developing as an artist. *hug*

they both are about the same linezyness wise, but i saw it less in summer 09 cus you used the space well and the colors were the focus. this is more simple and i consecrated on the char more ^^; so maybe its just this one.
but, its no problem really. i think i can take the time to comment if you took the time to make this :D

Thanks for telling me Zia =). After all the comments about sketchyness and such - I'm working on a new way to ink my stuff. I'm fixing the lines that are supposed to be smooth (clothes, shoes, buildings etc) with a rather thick ink-line. But I keep the rough sketch in areas such as fur, hair, tail etc. This way I can give the drawing an extra dimension. I used it in the latest drawing - and I hope it looks better!
Now I've just got to snap out of the stupid habit of drawing block hands XD.
*hug*
