A crisp, ocean breeze in the evening. Emilia leans back and gazes into the evening sky. Claire had been driving for about an hour, but Emilia was getting a bit impatient. Still, she was glad Claire put the top down on her Jeep.

"Yay, there's the exit! 22, that's my favorite number because of this beach!"

Claire gleefully drives down the off ramp from the highway, she takes a deep breath and welcomes the crisp, ocean air rushing past. "I remember coming here when I was really young. It was the only time I'd be in another car from my old village. The exit number always made me excited because I knew the beach was close!" Claire says with a perky smile.

Emilia sits up and adjusts her seat, the sun was still above the horizon, amongst a faded purplish and pink sky. The sun was a lovely hue of orange, easy on the eyes and was still casting light on the landscape. The beach lied ahead, but it didn't look occupied. Emilia tilts her head, wondering why it looks so empty.

"There's nobody here? This place is open?" Emilia asks. Claire replies happily, "Honestly, this place has always been empty. I don't know why, nobody ever told me why," she shrugs and continues on driving.

Emilia looks at the surrounding area by the beach as they drive along. Just wide open plains and a few dunes. She sees one house, but it looks long abandoned. "Hmm," Emilia says to herself. "Ya know, you really love being isolated from everything," she says. "What do you mean?" replies Claire.

"Well, the other place we went to was really far from town, and this place is too," Emilia says. She looks at Claire with naive curiosity, Claire's liking to be in the outdoors was fascinating to Emilia. Most people just like being inside, or at a mall or even a movie. But not Claire, the wide open wilderness made her happy.

The road curved to the left, ending in a lot that looked very cracked and rough. Large spots of wild grass growing through the cracks and piles of sand laid about in the lot. "Yay, here we are!"

Claire parks her Jeep and kills the engine. She quickly jumps out and grabs some blankets from the back. Emilia was taking her time to get out, but only to see a happy Claire already running onto the beach. "Let's watch the sunset, silly!" she says with a smile. Emilia smirks, "She's really just so innocent,"

Emilia walks up to Claire, already sitting down and watching the sunset on the beach blanket. "There you are!" she says, Claire extends her arms out to Emilia, "Come sit!" Emilia smiles back, Claire's warm personality was really winning her over.

As the sun was nearly out of view, Claire was starting to shiver. "You getting cold?" asks Emilia. Claire simply nods back, Emilia smirks and starts to get up. "I'll be right back, hun," she says, giving Claire's nose a simple little boop. Claire's ears perk up and her eyes widen, cut little things like that always make her happy.

Walking back to the Jeep, Emilia thought to herself about Claire. 'She's just so good natured, I've never met somebody so...innocent. I don't even care if a relationship works or not, I just hope she stays around in my life,' Emilia sighs, and finds a second blanket in the back of the Jeep. "Ah, perfect. Big enough for the both of us!"

Emilia walks back to see Claire still cold. "Here, hun," Emilia says she wraps up Claire. She sits down next to her, but Claire looks back up to Emilia. "Yes, Claire?" she asks, as Claire opens up her blanket, inviting Emilia to cuddle up with her. Emilia creeps in closer and wraps her arms around Claire. She gently presses her muzzle against Claire's and smiles. "I'm glad we've met, Claire," she says. Not really knowing what to say, Claire hugs back and whimpers softly, as the two enjoy each other's company with the calming sounds of the ocean behind them.
