The female morphdog usually gives birth to between 1 and 3 pups at a time. Pregnancy is on average 12 months long, with the mother-to-be experiencing violent moodswings, increased appetite and strange cravings... basically like any other pregnant individual.

When born, the morphpups are fully-furred, eyes open and ears able to detect sounds. Shifting ability doesn't develop until the 5th chronological year, roughly 2-3 physical years old. A morphdog begins puberty at the physical age of 10 [20 years unless in forms with shorter lifespans], and is considered sexually mature by the physical age of 14-18.

Of course, the chronological ages vary depending on the form. A morphpup who spends a long time as an Earth dog or cat, for example, will age faster than one remaining in base form. They generally start talking by the time they can crawl, and walking around the same time their shifting abilities develop.
