In my quest to explore new genres - Equium Studios presents: Recondite.
It's prog jazz. WAIT! Don't leave. It sounds good. It has genuine chords in and that sort of thing! Consists of double bass, drums and piano. I listen to The Bad Plus and they gave me ideas for this piece, always messing with time signatures and the like.
This was originally not scheduled for release on FA, but due to new projects I thought I'd spoil y'all. Looking forward to your feedback.

Oh I was wondering when I'd hear this! I like it! I've never really come across this type of casual recording much (except for just a little bit with Barry Manilow and Coldplay) - but you've done a neat job! I actually really quite enjoyed the easy listening :) And the samples for this are quite good! I say - 'encore'! Let's have some more!
*Chuckles* As if you put in talking about getting a hug from Flint too :p

I'm not sure what you meant by 'prog' jazz. Progressive is the only thing that comes to mind. Anyway, it's definately not the sort of jazz I'm used to hearing, but it's not bad.
I think this is one of those songs where I have to be in a particular mood to truly enjoy it, but it is pretty good regardless.

interesting... i like this... although I must admit that i kept thinking I'd like to hear it with better instruments. It's just so..MIDI... heh, but not all of us have Fox Amoore or Fluffycroc's studios, do we
i really enjoyed the interplay between the rhythms. some good drum writing in there.

I know... that's my main hindrance... all I have is Finale PrintMusic and GarageBand. I can't actually play the piano, so any type of studio software would be, sadly, redundant. Unless I just made atmospheric chord pieces with it. XD
But thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it. ^.^
