Don't get me wrong, I love the lines of the DeLorean. But let's be honest... the performance for the price is... not optimal. :( That's the main reason I've never gone to hunt one down and restore it.

There's a turbo you can add... but you're talking a full engine swap - which you can do, but I'm a purist.
Take the good with the bad, sort of thing.

Ah. I kinda get the purist thing but (and no offense intended) it seems kinda silly given the only thing the Delorean really had going for it was the styling.

But, wait, wasnt there a company that tried to revive the DeLorean, buyed everything that was left of the old manufracturer, including parts, blueprints and so on, and making a modern model of it? I totally lost track of that but i think i saw a small documentary about this years ago.
