A sketch I started on today, before I wrote a story to how they got to know one and another.
I plan for these two to be mates/lovers, the male is named Leif, while I still got to name her something.
Since the story ain't really done yet here's a part of it but only the start.
This is 887 words of 1510 words (so far) but I have a bit more to write.
I hope you like what I have written, and let me know what you think.
Just remember that they are wild animals.
Unexpected meeting
Walking among the mountain in the search of something to eat the long snake like reptilian looked around as the sun was rising above the hills and the cold air still blew across the grass that grew there. Looking around it could see a few other predators and some preys further away, all lovely treats to devour if getting close enough, but getting enough close was a real challenge. One wrong move and they would all flee for their lives it knew as its red glowing eyes watched them as it tried to decide who to attack, the young and strong, or the old and weak? Whoever would become its meal for the day to fill its belly, one thing was sure... it would gladly feast on the meat from that one.
Quietly sneaking close to the ground it saw some lovely equines with horns on the head that were big enough to satisfy its hunger for a few days. Eying a big male who was eating grass it crept closer, and closer, wanting to sink its fangs into the throat and make a quick kill while slowly getting within range to attack. Just as it was almost there something else hit it across the face and disturbed the hunt as it growled angrily from the unexpected hit. Its prey making a quick escape and fled away to a much safer place far away. Shaking its head a hissing sound could be heard from within a nearby cave and irritated it looked into the darkness as a tail pulled back into it.
Knowing its prey had already escaped its fate the snake like creature took some daring steps towards it before calling out to whoever was in there. “Such a rude thing to do to someone like me, you should be ashamed. Thanks to you my morning meal got away and I might have shared it if I had known someone else was here. So... let me see who it is that disturbed my hunt, or are you a coward who hides in the safety of the dark?” it said eying the entrance of the cave.
“Rude you say, be ashamed?” a smooth female voice said as a pair of orange eyes as well as pink glow appeared in the darkness. “Calling me a coward? You’re more rude than me, hunting on my land. You should be ashamed yourself, and even if I could have waited for you to make that kill I have already eaten.”
“...to be a female I find you rude when you could have spoken to me instead of hitting me like that.” he said a bit annoyed as he narrowed his eyes. “Come out and show yourself, or I will keep calling you coward for as long as you hide in the dark of that cave ...coward.” he said showing the sharp teeth in his maw as he waited.
Hearing him say that she hissed angrily before slowly stepping out from the cave, showing herself in all her glory as she stared at him angrily while hissing before saying “There, happy now?”
Watching her he saw her and her beauty but didn’t get much time to admire her before she spoke up and he looked at her face and noticed one thing. “Now we can talk like adults my beauty, but may I ask what has happened to you?” he asked in a calm voice watching her.
She hissed at him angrily not wanting to answer, knowing what he was asking about. The chipped tip of her horn that was the first thing everyone noticed when looking at her face. She hissed angrily at him, staring at him, just wanting him to leave her land and her alone, but from what she could tell he might not leave for a while as he wanted to talk.
Noticing how upset she got when he only asked her he decided to take a few steps closer towards her before he walked around and blocked the entrance to the cave, not wanting her to leave just yet. He didn’t say anything for a good while as he waited for her to calm down seeing how she glared at him and he could tell she really didn’t want him there at all but gone, something he wasn’t about to do just yet. While he thought out his next move she watched him closely as she slowly turned around to face him.
“...so what is a beauty like you doing in a place like this ...all alone?” he asked smirking a little bit as he watched her.
But she only hissed at him angril saying “Nothing you need to know, stranger, now leave!”
“Tsk, tsk... such a rude behaviour, maybe I should teach you some manners, your-” he started to say when she suddenly charged at him with an open maw hissing, wanting to sink her sharp teeth into his flesh. Quickly he charged back at her as he head-butted her hard and she stumbled back as she closed her eyes for a moment as he quickly ran past her before she got a chance to see where he went before something pulled her front legs together and down to her belly, making her fall forward as her head landed on the grass that softened her fall.
