i haven't uploaded one of these in a while. the little open air market behind the station is almost finished, and of course the population continues to grow. some of the new immigrants look kind of familiar from somewhere

they are. a climax wouldn't look out of place, in a depopulated post mad max world, but the problem is that its really too underpopulated among other things, for there to really be extraction activity for oil or coal, which would also be more difficult do our own era's depleting of them. which is why, even if people hadn't learned from the eco-pocalypse a strong desire to avoid repeating it, batteries, solar panels and wind and water mills would likely be more practical and common.
these factors might seem to mitigate against the solar panels too, but they, along with much building materials come from the ruins.
but it isn't like science and technology are forgotten by everyone.
many villages might choose to, but there are also enclaves of scholars and explorers.
and the scholars are always eager for scraps of forgotten technological knowledge.
there seems to be plenty of population in the village on the layout, but such villages are few and far between.
and i do always have an eye out for anything that might look furry and close to scale, but can't really afford to commission them.
there's a griffin and a couple of feral blink dog role playing miniatures that are recent aquisitions that are just out of camera range.
