A fairly detailed piece for
SilentRavyn of his character exploring the ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia!
How exciting it must have been for him to visit this location in person!
I am really proud with how this ended up. In the beginning, I focused far too much on making it look like the photograph, and it lost a lot of depth as everything was equally detailed and I lacked any focus in the composition.
I'm glad I pulled some depth out through the values. Character ended up showing well against the lightened background and misty light-filled environment didn't completely overshadow the character.
A great learning experience, and a proud piece!

Alright, jokes aside, the architecture of the background is great! The piece overall is so well done. If gives a wonderful sense of atmosphere and exploration with curiosity.
And not even one "Wat" joke in the comments yet.
Nice work Trunorth =)
I would say, you could a bit improve the far background (up to the cheetah's head) with more details to keep the visual focus. Here, it seems too much blurry, or, not so visually coherent.
Sorry if I annoyed you ^^'
