"Due to an slight marketing overstock we've been left with a ton of these frappuccinos. Thankfully
we figured out a way to get rid of them over the weekend and advertise at the same time! What
could be more eye catching than a giant pink unicorn to put a sign on out front!"

Well, normally when trying to price a product, you have to find the equilibrium point where the demand and supply make you the most money. But with a digital good, you're able to provide many customers the same product without necessarily more work. Like in the case of digital download games, movies, and what you're doing here. It allows you to price something simple, like the addition of another drink for a small fee at which people are more likely to want to pay (being lower and all) without the additional cost often associated with producing more of an item (since its digital, and just some added drinks!) Its great because everyone benefits. Also, the way you set it up also allows for someone with more disposable income to dump more money into it (IE more drinks), meaning it's a choose your own buy in adventure. Basically lets you slide the price up and down the demand chart to get people at different demands.
So that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll make a ton of money doing things like this, but from an economic theory standpoint I just love the idea. :V
