woah, I finally finished this! I've been working on it, on and off for the last week or so while I've had the time. I'm actually REALLY happy with how it came out! I really wanted to dive hardcore into more colour/lighting experimentation and this is what I came up with ;D I've wanted to do a picture of Hush playing the piano for ages as well!

ps- yes the piano was painted - took me hourssss alone! I spent like days on this, and I know the issue with the keys which I'll fix at some point - take it easy on the crit for me :B

bea-u-ti-ful! Absolutely flawless on the piano, I swear it looked like a photo in the preview and at first glance. And awesome angle too, love the tilt, at a lot more of a dynamic feel to it. Not to mention how you accurately painted it with a focal point and it gently blurred outwards, it all looks so natural. Awesome job
Jesus Christ. This is my favorite piece of art of the year, most likely. You've outdone yourself and nearly everyone else with this, and please for the love of god, keep it up!

Another pianist! Yay! This piece is simply amazing. The complexities of the simpleness of the piece alone makes me go... "d'awwww." Mmmm i love piano so this piece was an instant fav. Awesome work on the lighting. It looks so real I could almost touch it. You really managed to pull off that shiny, glossy glow that steinways and grand pianos have. I applaud you. Keep up the great work!

I'm playing the piano. And this is the first furry pics witch shows such a beautiful one. Congratulations, this is a fabulous works!
But there are somethings wrong (actually, nothing important, but you can improve this next time): The "C" key on the first plan is at the right of the "C sharped". It should be on the left. Same for "B" key: it's a full key (the full key is supposed to be the most high "C"). It make all black keys on the left put ON the white. There are supposed to be between two of them...
But I haggle; it's easy to criticize, and I would be unable to make the sixth of what you have make there!

I extremely love this pic, although I am going to feel like such a doucher for saying this, and I know I'm ruining the flawlessness of the pic, but I can't hold it back, (selective OCD) BUT I happened to notice you put the black keys "on top" of the white keys, instead of between each other. *facepalms in embarrasment* I'm sorry, but I had to. I do love the picture so much. *faves*
Composer here - Steinways are where it's at! Unfortunately I don't have one to hand, but an Astor instead (still a respectable clear sound) - but my Steinway piano on Logic is by far my preferred instrument. Being a filmmaker too I love the canter you've given to this shot - respect all 'round!
I liked the way you positioned the piano and how relaxed his face looks. I think the background could have been done a little differently though. If you would have drawn him playing for an audience while on a stage; I think that would have just made the whole thing stand out even more. Good job nonetheless and I hope you’ll make some more like it.

You know, I actually didn't notice the issue with the keys until I read your comment about it. Negligible I'd say; it's not distracting from the image as a whole. I suppose you could fix it if you so desire, but I think it's fine the way it is. It proves you're still human and creates a closer connection between artist and audience.

If I could favourite this so much more I would, this piece was made even more beautiful by the track I was listening to.
I used to play piano like this before I went onto college and did some other stuff..
