'I admire my brother for his discipline to channel his fury into battle. I let it just roam free.'
Alright, another minotaur, but it's for a reason. Because this big guy here is the very brother of my previous planeswalker Bothar http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23271875/
And since Bothat got the Boros setting I went for gruul on Tharox. Two different brother with the temper of their father, but dealing with it in their own ways.
As always feedback would be amazing of course and I hope you enjoy the card~

Hey, a reference to Utvara! I really like this guy, and the fact that he like his brother is a Planeswalker with ties to a Ravnican guild is pretty awesome.
Mechanically, I find his use of hybrid mana pretty neat since no planeswalker has done it before, and I like that you blend together things that both green and red can do with elements unique to each color; creating a short lived token is very red, even if it has green abilities, and enchantment and artifact destruction are very green, and quite useful in red, which doesn't have easy access to enchantment destruction. I'd love to actually use this guy in an RG deck!

Ohh I'm glad you like him.
Yeah he and his brother are planeswalkers. Their sparks ignited at the same moment when their father died. And while they are both members of different guilds they still keep close contact and spar regually, even to the distrust of their fellow guild members.
I always try to make my characters have a certain theme and the guilds of Ravnica are pretty inspiring for that I think.
Either way I'm happy you like him and thanks a lot for the feedback!

How so? We have Chandra, Flamecaller who even creates two similar tokens and since it's two it's much harder to block the damage. And yes it does have trample, still it's easy to reduce or even prevent the damage. And you have to exile them at the end of turn as well anyway. I'm not denying it's strong, but I don't think it's 'RIDICULOUSLY overpowered'
True but let's consider the context and compare him to chandra. This guy (great art too, BTW ) comes down a turn earlier, can fit in both mono red and mono green decks, has the same starting loyalty as Chandra, and creates a token with the same total toughness as chandra's two 3/1s. It may not have as much power, but I'd argue that the trample makes it more damgerous, especially on turn 5, or even earlier.
(thanks) and well, yes he can be played in two mono colors...but I don't think that makes him 'stronger' rather more playable probably. And it's not like only green got good ramp options, so you can also play him (or chandra) fast in red. I did thought about taking the trample out before actually, but well, I wanted a strong planeswalker and in the end you could say his ability is equal to chandra's since each has it's preferences, depending on the sitation, in my opinion at least.
While you're right about red getting access to ramp, especially more so as of lately, I'd still argue that the flexibility and evasion makes his +1 too good, especially given the type of deck it wants to go in. And when you add his -2 ability into the mix, I definitely still think he's too good. This is all just theory crafting of course, though I think he would be a lot more fair if he started off at 3 loyalty, at the very least.
Well, I admit you got your point and I might change some details. MAybe take out the trample of the token (actually I thought I would already have) and I gonna think about the loyality as well...it's just if you play a planeswalker for five mana, it would be pretty crappy if he get's one hitted by a lightning bolt for example, especially if he's a big minotaur a one hit in the turn he is play would be pretty pathetic, since it's all just theroy i can think about such flavor things that would may be unbalanced in the real game after all.
Lightning bolt was just an example to make my point, another would have been fiery temper, harnessed lighting and so on. And if I would turn his +1 to 0 he would have no ability to gain loyality, what is also not very usefull. And idk, for six mana his other abilties are probably not that strong, idk. If you play a planeswalker for 6 cmc you need something more...game winning in this late state of the match. I also want to cost him around the same as his brother, just for the flavor of it...I still think I will take out the trample...and something else, idk what yet tho. I don't want to make the token weaker besides that since, compared to chandra, it would be weak. If I make it 3/2 for example, you could get two 3/1, so two times as much damage, for only one mana more. So with trample out I think I...well, I might change the starting loyality..if I can't think of anything else.
With 3 starting loyalty there is no way Tharox can die to a lightning bolt in the turn he was played, if you used his +1 ability.
Opponent player won't get priority before you put the planeswalker ability on the stack.
Every other burn spell that deals more damage usually kills other (good) planeswalker, too. So I wouldn't take that into account.
Anyway I actually don't like the second ability, because it breakes the colour wheel. Red and green don't have "assassinate" cards (destroy tapped creature), that's for black and white. Green almost never has any cards at all that are allowed to destroy creatures, but destroy noncreature permanents instead. They are either really expensive (Desert Twister), only target flying creatures (Plummet) or have a trade off (Beast Within). Red just burns them. Although sometimes red is allowed to destroy creatures, but it is also a trade off (Descent of the Dragons) or is one of those global chaos cards (Obliterate, Worldfire). These are also the only way for red to deal with enchantments. Colourless cards who deal with this are also really expensive.
Green has the fight ability now for dealing with creatures, but you need your own to do that. And as I said Red just burns them.
If you want to keep this second ability I am afraid it is at least one mana to cheap to give green and/or red a decent way to deal with creatures (or enchantments for red), although assassinate is already a conditional destroy ability, but you probably can use this ability at least two times. Karn for example costs 7 mana.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that only works assuming you play the planeswalker and use the ability right away. Doing anything else would pass priority.
You make a good point about the -2 too. While both red and green can destroy artifacts and green can destroy enchantments no problem, outright destroying creatures isn't really either of their things. Even so, of those examples, both desert twister and beast within break the color wheel as well.

You are right, but in 99% of times you do that anyway.
Yes, sometimes they stretch the colour wheel a bit. They do not print colourshited versions of Doom Blade for example. But I wouldn't repeat that just because "they also made Beast Within!"
Also Desert Twister was printed in the Arabian Nights set. The colour wheel wasn't in the state it is today (blue cards also were allowed to deal direct damage back then).
Just for the sake of good design that fits the Magic theme I like it more if you follow the colour wheel guidelines, sometimes stretch it a bit, but do not break it.
From such a brute like this I expect that he breaks faces, raw violence, beating someone 1vs1. Not just kill something with a magic spell.
